I am an Assistant Professor in Finance at the Alberta School of Business, University of Alberta.

I am an empirical researcher with research interests in corporate finance and real options, household finance, labor economics, and political economy.

Examples of broad research questions that I seek to answer include:

• How do labor market frictions and labor supply uncertainty affect firms and their demand for capital
• What are the financial externalities of the criminal justice system?
• How do politicians’ political incentives affect the allocation of financial capital in the economy?
